Stainless steel is one of the best materials for pour-over methods. Not only because it can last a lifetime, is recyclable, heat resistant, sustainable, hygienic, and easy to clean, … but especially because of its specific thermal capacity. How so?
In simple terms: when preparing coffee, it will not steal much temperature from the water. This way, you will obtain efficient extraction and do not need to preheat the method with a liter of hot water, but only enough water to purge the paper filter.
