The roasting plan

Measure coffee - interpret variables - plan roasting - cup - improve

Before roasting coffee, it is essential to understand each of its variables: measuring moisture and density, understanding the processing method, and above all, having a clear goal for that coffee.

In our professional roasting course, you will learn to measure and interpret each variable. Additionally, we will show you the impact of small changes and the importance of every detail in the roasting process. You will discover how to manipulate the sensory profile: highlight or reduce acidity, improve body, and achieve homogeneous roasts. Once you understand everything that is possible, you will be able to make informed decisions instead of relying on chance.

We always measure, interpret the variables of the coffee and the roaster, plan the roast, roast, cup, and improve. How do we do it? We will teach you in a complete course, from the basics to an advanced level.

What makes a Roaster professional?

There are many ways to become a professional coffee Roaster. We took different roasting courses to gain the most possible knowledge, and in the end, we realized we want to educate coffee Roasters in a very special way; to understand coffee and make it perform excellently.

Our coffee Roaster trainers have knowledge in all areas of coffee. We started as baristas and then became Coffee Cupper champions in Germany in 2019, now we develop coffees through Fermentation and drying processes, export green coffee worldwide, and teach everything from farm to cup. Our trainers have been part of judging panels in different Latin American countries during coffee competitions.

We recommend analyzing quality before each roast. Specialty Coffee stands out with clearly defined attributes, its Sensory profile. A sample of coffee is roasted in a sample roaster, and through cupping, strengths and weaknesses of the coffee are understood. None are perfect, but a master Roaster highlights qualities, planning and controlling the entire coffee roasting process.
