MANUELA VÁSQUEZ AND HER WORK WITH

Manuela Vásquez

SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
FOR DESARROLLADORES DE CAFÉ

GROW AND DO WITHOUT CEASING TO BE

AN OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE DIFFERENT ACTIONS IN THE MARKET

I am a professional in international business, trilingual, passionate about business growth, marketing, and coffee. My passion is to help companies grow both in sales and organizationally. Assisting to focus efforts on real achievements and scaling.

At the end of 2021, I started working with Desarrolladores de Café and since then, I have had the opportunity to fall in love with the coffee world and understand that although it is an old and extensive market, it has many opportunities for innovation and growth. And that is precisely where there is a path for new companies. Leveraging all those opportunities from a market that has been doing the same for many years, to show differentiation, especially in terms of quality. And that is exactly what we have been doing with DDC. Teamwork, focusing on steady growth without neglecting the quality of products/services and social commitment to the sector, the production chain, and consumers. Firmly believing that everyone deserves to have a good cup of coffee, which carries traceability and respect for the work of others.

MANUELA VÁSQUEZ

International Negotiator

each farm, a company

GROWTH TOGETHER

Among the main medium- and long-term objectives of my work as sales and marketing director, is that every partner producer understands that each farm is a company. An economic entity that records expenses, costs, and should generate income to cover those costs and generate profitability. Yes, of course, telling a story and seeing it from the artisan perspective is beautiful, but if we look at the financial reality, each farm must see itself as a company that needs accounting (at least basic) and above all requires: customers. It is no secret that most farms, especially small ones, do not have their numbers very clear, nor their production costs, and even less, the coffee quality. All of this causes their final sale prices not to generate sufficient profitability. That is where we come in, Desarrolladores de Café:

  1. We explain the importance of having clarity in their costs and expenses.
  2. We guide them to understand the coffee quality they market.
  3. We accompany them to improve their final product and in turn, improve the final price.
  4. We buy. They generate income, and having their production costs clear, they start to generate profitability and improve their quality of life.

This is the way I express my point of view about my idea of helping producers in a comprehensive way to grow in the long term and with purpose.
